Lane Fagan is the founder and owner of Retrieve-Air Heating and Cooling, a family-owned residential HVAC company based in Dallas, NC serving Gaston County and the greater Charlotte region.
“I didn't start this business because I always dreamed of being an owner — I started it because I felt I had no choice. After years working for others, I saw firsthand how the industry had changed. Corporate takeovers and private equity firms have flooded the market with one goal: extract as much as possible from homeowners, regardless of what's actually needed. That didn't sit right with me.
So he founded Retrieve-Air in 2024 with a simple commitment: quality work, honest pricing, and genuine care for every customer. Lane personally oversees every job with the same standard he'd expect in his own home.
